Thea is an amazing host. She helped me get transport to go to La Spezia really early on a Sunday. Also, the hostel was very clean, everyday It got cleaned and I felt really safe and at ease. It is perfectly located and the kitchen had everything you would need. I Will come back for sure. The price is also great

I had a very upsetting experience at this hostel. While I was out, staff forcibly broke my padlock from a locker that contained all my valuables without any consent. I was then told via WhatsApp that my things had been moved because I was using the “wrong” locker — but at check-in, my assigned locker was already in use, and the one I chose was the only free one. There was no emergency, and the situation could have been handled without damaging my property or violating my privacy. I felt disrespected and unsafe as a guest. I requested a refund and received no apology or accountability. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this place based on how this was handled.

This would be a great place.. older school, but still charming. Pretty good location. Good terrace. However, the cleaning lady/maid is absolutely terrible. No, not at her actual job but she will come at 8AM, talking loudly on her phone, turning on lights, and asking people if they are checking out so she can clean their bed. Literally stuck her head in my face at 8:30am and asked if we were checking out when we don’t have to be out until 10. She also threw out all of our stuff in the fridge??? Like dumped our orange juice down the sink and tossed it. If she would just come at like 11am everyone would be gone for the most part and she can do all the things.. but for some reason she insists on waking everyone up so early and makes it a really uncomfortable space in the mornings. Would not stay again because of this or feel right about recommending this to others.
