Via Montemalo, 26863 Orio Litta, ItalyTina Giovinazzo
I stayed one night with a group of friends while traveling along the Via Francigena. My experience was so-so, using a room that was still being prepared and two cots/camp beds. The bathrooms are shared with other rooms; if only one room is occupied, it can be considered a private bathroom, but you have to leave the room. Breakfast is self-catered and includes packaged products. The building is a renovated 19th-century building, and part of it is inhabited by the owners, who, when explaining the accommodation, are not seen. The asking price (booking) is not entirely commensurate with the standard of the category. Not all towels were provided (one large towel and a washcloth!). Not all rooms have a kettle, the TV is in the common area/living room, and the terrace is unequipped (chairs, tables). The garden has a single bench shaded by centuries-old trees and no shelter (umbrella, gazebo). I apologize, but I didn't provide my first name, Annunziata Giovinazzo, as the Lord entered it into the Public Security website as soon as we entered and before giving us the room keys (which were already paid for). I am the lady who took off her shoes and put on her slippers at the entrance, as you implied! I hope the owners remember me. Best regards.
