Kampaoh Santillana del Mar

We had a great time and really enjoyed our stay in the tent. It was a memorable experience, especially for the kids, to sleep in a tent and use communal facilities. There were also many exciting activities planned by the campsite like water sport and games for both adults and kids. Unfortunately we didn't join them as they were in Spanish mostly. We did however enjoy the nearby town and discovered the ancient town through the cobblestone streets. The only down side was the smell of animal manure that swept through the campsite. It was not pleasant especially when we were trying to use the pool.

Looks like most people review based on what they expect a camping to have in the Netherlands, Germany or France. But this is a Spanish camping with Spanish prices, sodas for 1€ and a coffee for 1.5, the location is perfect for day trips around the local sights. The staff is friendly, local and hard working. This is a great place to stay, recommend if you can deal with not the cleanest newest infrastructure for showers and washing.

Beautiful nice tents. My only comment is about the set up; too many tents are wedged in on top of each other. Some tents had a nice little space with grass in front of the tent, but not ours. The table just fitted between the ropes of our tent and the one next to us, with all the people going to the bathroom continuously walking just in front of our tent entry. When you have a small child it would be nice to have at least a little bit space to move around. Like this it brings down the experience, it's not just about the inside of the tent. It seems to me that Kampaoh is a bit too focused on the commercial side of their business.
