This was an excellent hostel experience! We stayed in the mixed dorms, which were extremely clean overall and the layout was also super nice. The beds weren't bunk beds and we made some friends there too! 1 minus star since another guest found a bed bug so be weary of this. The staff said they spray the beds down so maybe this was an isolated issue. The communal bathrooms were very clean and nice too. Enough stalls for probably the whole village :D. Just remember to have some coins around if you want warm water. The staff was also incredibly nice and helpful in all kind of ways. They helped wash, dry and fold the laundry from the bed bug victims too. They gave us a lot of tips on what to do, where to go and about the weather conditions etc. Always really friendly and happy :D And the bar was also super nice, even though it was kind of off-season (mid-February), there was still a little action there too. The bartender was also incredibly friendly!! The area where the hostel is located is relatively calm too, away from the busy train station and bigger hotels. Not too far though, around a 15-20 minute walk from the station or you can just the the bus. The bus stop is right next to the hostel too, quick connections to essentially everywhere! Ohh and extra points for the super adorable dog! Thanks for everything, would totally visit again

If there was negative stars, i would have given all to the lady in reception and the hostel, i booked hotel in basel with same card and have been doing everything from same card, i booked them just to get cancelled and never told reason why, people please don't ignore lowest review, they will tell your card doesn't work but you get charged. Ideally they seem to overbook and just cancel them who pays less. They don't even want to listen anything, travelled to lauterbrunnen from basel just to get told i should find another place ? I asked if they have other available room, she didn't even tell we can see, she just told its not possible because its last minute ? Beware guys ! It’s not an ideal one.

This hostel is in the prettiest town in the world, right next to the bus stop so it's easy to get around. The vibes at night are nice and welcoming. The staff are amazing. The reception, the bar, the cleaners, all the staff here make this hostel amazing. The 4 bed dorms are nice. Definitely recommend
