Hotel Coldai

We stayed at Hotel Coldai for 2 nights during our week long stay in the Dolomites. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff were sooo friendly and hospitable, let us park our car the night before checking in for our overnight hike and organised laundry services for us. The hotel is a great location for exploring Mont Civetta and also Lago Di Alleghe. Breakfast spread was great, so much on offer, sweet & savory plus coffee and tea. Room was a bit dated but had a lovely charming feel and value for what you pay for. Can tell the family hosts are really passionate about the hotel and the area, which made for a very enjoyable stay. Thank you! We recommend to anyone!

I would totally reccomend staying in Alleghe and here at the Hotel. The owner is super friendly and helpful, had great recommendations on where to go. And this is really a hidden gem. Much quieter than the Cortina or over on the Bolanzo side but still very incredibly beautiful and close to many great sites! Also for us wanting g to not move around and be based out of one spot the entire week we were there this town is equal distance between most of the other good sites we wanted to visit. The hotel itself also very peaceful and quaint. Good breakfast too!!

Absolutely an incredible stay in the beautiful, small town of Alleghe. Although Via Coldai may have some 3-4 star reviews, this experience and stay was nothing short of spectacular. The owners of this hotel (father and son who both were apart of Italy’s Olympics ice hockey team) were the kindest, most friendly and accommodating hosts I’ve ever met. I am so happy we found this small hotel in the heart of the Dolomites !! Make sure you ask for some recommendations for hikes around the area, the owners will provide amazing recommendations and suggestions around the area. I am so happy we were able to experience this place!!
