Gostišče Sovdat, Erika Vračun s.p.

We ordered beef soup and vegetable soup as starters, and both were absolutely wonderful. For the main course, we had a beef steak and a classic Wiener schnitzel. Unfortunately, the steak wasn’t prepared very well, but it was removed from the bill without any problem. The waitress was extremely kind, and thanks to her, we still had a very pleasant overall experience.

In the middle of a downpour, on a covered terrace just back from the main road, we found refuge and sustenance at Gostišče Sovdat. A traditional hearty stew, Jota, served with polenta cakes, was delicious, as was my wife’s whole fried fresh trout. For dessert, we split an order of Bovški Krafi, a delectable pocket of soft dough filled with dried cider pears, apples, and raisins. It was all remarkably affordable. A great experience.

Nice dinner meal, we took one of traditional slovenian meals and it was nice. Also delicious home made pistacio ice cream. Nice, relaxing and quiet athmosphere. The waitress was very nice with a kind snile, we were so happy to get there after not nice situation with rude service in different restaurant.
