Great place if you want to stay inside the old city, near by all the great places and living the real deal of an old Italian building, amply space and very well maintained. Arriving on your own car could be a challenge if you are planning to go straight to the property (narrow streets) and definitely you have to deal with parking, which is not a big deal but you have to walk outside the old city (3 blocks) to park at the street. For us was not a big deal. We used Martina Franca as our base to go and visit other lovely towns around the area

I just left apartment number 12 of the "SO-CALLED" Villaggio In in Martina Franca... IN as in (UN)ACCEPTABLE hygiene conditions... IN as in (IN)EXISTENT Wi-Fi, in an area with no phone coverage... IN as in (IN)SUFFICIENT electricity production, or rather, total lack of light on a steep flight of stairs... IN as in (UN)IMAGINABLE time wasted looking for parking, despite it being paid... IN as in (IN)COMPREHENSIBLE and TOTAL lack of hospitality, as we arrived at 1:20 PM and, since the agency closed at 1:00 PM, they left the keys for us at the "Caffè Tripoli" bar, which was obviously closed, despite the opening hours indicating otherwise. What can I say... it was supposed to be a relaxing weekend, but after spending €160 a night, the least stressful moment turned out to be when we left the apartment. Oh, I forgot! Don't be fooled by the photos... the apartments are real SHACKS.

Terrible experience. The only positive thing was that we stopped to ask for information, and a very kind gentleman explained to us how to park our cars. The poorly organized receptionist didn't do that. He let us get our cars from the paid parking lot, saying he'd let us park closer. Yes, but in the blue lines... which, by the way, finding a free spot is a pipe dream. He left us there with our cars double-parked, saying he couldn't help us. We had to go back to the original parking lot. A 2-hour ordeal... non-existent Wi-Fi, a small, noisy Argo air conditioner, no shower gel... it wouldn't take much to improve. The only positive thing is the city, which is enchanting.
