Hotel Römerhof

I have never experienced a worse hotel or service in my life. The problems started immediately after booking through Booking.com. We reserved two rooms with full prepayment. About 20 hours before check-in, we were informed that one of the rooms had water problems and could not be used. Instead, we were offered to place extra beds in one room for €30 each, and we were promised a partial refund and free breakfast. In the end, we never received any refund. Moreover, the receipt shows a completely different bank card that has nothing to do with me. The staff told me that I should “contact Visa,” which sounds absolutely absurd. It feels like the staff do not resolve problems at all, but simply shift responsibility elsewhere. I genuinely feel sorry for the hotel owner, because with this kind of service and attitude toward guests, the hotel’s reputation will only continue to suffer. As a result, we paid about €300 for one room for four people with terrible, outdated renovations. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. The only decent part of the whole stay was the breakfast.

Lovely boutique hotel near Innsbruck. The rooms are spaciaous and our had a great view of the mountain. The breakfast is delicious, from eggs, bacon, vegetables to fruits and sweets we found everything we liked. Right in front of the hotel there is a bus stop , you can take the bus every 10 minutes to go to the city center, also one bus stop away is the ski area. If you book a minimum of 3 nights you get a innsbruck local transport card from the reception, and you have free acces to the local transport (bus,tram).

We’ve stayed here before and enjoyed it, however this time around was quite shocking. The receptionist absolutely hates her job, anytime and for anything that we approached her she either said she was just about to go on break or simply shrugged her shoulders and said there is nothing she can do. The apartment is in bad condition, the kitchen is far from being stocked (no toaster, one pan, no rack in the oven, no basics offered)… The only good thing is the location, the cleaner was very nice and the sauna. Just feels like this hotel has given up on maintenance and service.
