Malga Campobon

A must-see destination, accessible to everyone, with exceptional hospitality and courtesy. Lunch and dinner are all based on homemade products, with fantastic quality meat, cured meats, and cheeses. The mountain hut is in an elevated position, with an open view of a postcard-perfect arc of Dolomite peaks. Overnight stay possible. The location allows you to stay the night and still reach the source of the Piave River, Peralba, and several other mountain huts. Cows, donkeys, horses, and even a few birds of prey if you're willing to observe them from a lounge chair. The hike takes 1.5 hours on foot. I've seen many people ascending on e-bikes.

I went to lunch at this mountain hut. It's located in an area with a fantastic view, on the Carnic Traversata. The trail is well-maintained and the signs are clear. It's easy to follow, even for inexperienced hikers. They produce delicious cheeses and cured meats. The owners are very welcoming. You can also stay overnight.

We left Bivio Ciadon after an hour and a half and arrived at this wonderful mountain hut. We were greeted with such kindness and hospitality. The food was delicious, including sandwiches and main courses. I highly recommend purchasing their truly excellent products.
