Incredible location! We arrived at 19.00 on a Friday night after driving past all of the full campgrounds. There were still a few spaces available. The staff were very friendly and welcomed us warmly. The campground while basic, was well maintained, bathrooms were cleaned frequently, very dog and kid friendly and the views were unbeatable. The river was perfect for a swim after a long day of hiking. We recommend eating at the Refugio, everything was absolutely delicious and staff were very friendly. We will be back!

Superb emplacement next to the Refugio de Bujaruelo. The campground has motorhome services (greywater drain, water refill and chemicals disposal with separate taps, no electricity). The ground is grassy but firm (it rained all night before we left and we had no trouble getting out of the grass). The toilettes and showers are clean and well mantained. The terrasse at the bar is gorgeous. Little to none network coverage but there're two open WiFis (excellent coverage near the bar - Refugio, but we were about the middle of the campground and the signal strengh was enough for common Internet services). If anything, I would highlight the quietness of the place. Despite the many people coming and going in the area during the day, we enjoyed absolute silence dusk to dawn. The road is most doable for campervans and up to medium-sized motorhomes, say below 8 m, with quite a few stretches in concrete, and tricky zones with rocks and potholes that requires some care. Most of it is wide enough for a car and motorhome to cross, but the very first leg requires tricky negotiation if you cross another incoming vehicle.

The campsite is small and limited, and the downside is that it can't be reserved, so you might find yourself having driven the last stretch of narrow road only to have to turn around. Tents, cars, and vans share the same space, and although they're arranged in a more or less orderly fashion, the space each occupies is rather chaotic. It's in an unbeatable location, the starting point for beautiful hikes, right next to a small bridge and a river where you can swim, and surrounded by spectacular mountains. Contrary to what we read in the reviews, we found the staff to be polite and friendly. The facilities are small but well-maintained, with bathrooms, showers, a laundry area, and sinks with a washing machine and refrigerator available when it was open (8 am to 10 pm). They have bread available upon request from the previous day, and some consumables are available in the small shop at reception, which has limited and uninterrupted hours, indicated on the door. Next door is a refuge with a bar and restaurant, as well as accommodation, but I don't know how it operates.
