Very conveniently located right next to the horse‑carriage stand and bus stop for Neuschwanstein, this hotel makes visiting the castle extremely easy. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast is very good. Free parking is a great bonus, and the hotel can also arrange castle tickets, which adds even more convenience to the stay.

Hotel Müller Hohenschwangau ended up being one of our favorite stays of our entire trip. We stopped here during our Christmas market tour mainly to see Neuschwanstein Castle, but the hotel itself became a highlight. The property is beautiful and incredibly relaxing, and the view from our room was incredible. After hiking up to the castle, coming back for dinner at the restaurant was perfect—fantastic food, high quality, and very reasonably priced. Exactly what we needed after a long day. The town was extremely busy with day trippers originally, which actually made staying overnight a huge advantage. Instead of rushing back to the train with the crowds, we enjoyed a peaceful, quiet evening, and taking the morning train the next day was effortless—it was nearly empty. A special shout-out to Kirstin, who truly went above and beyond. She helped us schedule a taxi, figure out our timing, and even arranged a packed breakfast and lunch for us since we couldn’t take advantage of the complimentary breakfast. Her kindness and attention made our stay feel extra special. What started as a bucket-list stop to see the castle turned into our favorite stay of the trip. Next time, we’ll absolutely be staying longer.

Got upgraded to an absolutely lovely room for our 1 night here and we could see the horses from our window in the day. However one heater was not working so the room was freezing even with the other heaters on full blast. There also was one window that guests in the room next door could see through. Breakfast was great, especially with the view of Schloss Neuschwanstein.
