The Caerthillian

The location is fantastic and the place itself is lovely and immaculate. The owners/operators were very friendly and helpful! The furniture and feature cupboards were particularly lovely. The hall-lights were left on all night which was a nice safely feature for people moving between rooms (and the lights did not intrude underneath our doors). The rooms had curtains, so one could sleep as late as one liked! There are lots of walks close by that offer stunning scenery for a variety of walking abilities/motivations. There are also a couple of very good restaurants within 5 minutes walk. The rooms were spotless every day and the breakfasts were generous and very tasty. I will be recommending it to all of my friends! More

We had a lovely family holiday at The Caerthillian in September 2025. We stayed for 8 nights and had a great time. The place is lovely and has a really traditional and classy feel to it - but without being stuffy at all. In fact, the hosts are very friendly and the WiFi is great, so everyone was happy!

FANTASTIC AND FUN. Knocked on the Door to be met by Austin on a rainy day, I was hiking the SWCP. And wow, what a stunning House, Full of character and charm. Great value and a fantastic single room with my own private bathroom. All very clean and everything I needed. Super comfy bed and lush linen. Great sleep and had a very needed and welcoming full English breakfast to fuel me up. Also had a nice bowl of fresh fruit. Both Linda and Austin were fabulous hosts and I would not hesitate to visit again. I loved Austin's personality. A mix between, Alan sugar and Del boy trotter!!! Fantastic one liners and bants. Perfect. Thanks Guys
