Camping Struppen

Stayed here for 3 nights in October. Owner and staff were very friendly, toilets and showers were super clean, metered electricity available and not expensive compared with other places. Cycled to the Elbe on 2 different days and loved it. Highly recommended.

A very nice camp site with gravel pitches. Very friendly owners and during check in we received a lot of great tips. The sanitary rooms are simple but relatively new and clean! We stayed here for one night and booked in advance via the website.

I stayed here for the night while walking the malerweg. The owner always seems to be busy keeping everything in good order in a friendly way, he does speak some English. He carries a walkie-talkie, the other one is at the reception door, can be very handy. You can also buy some essential groceries like bread and drinks and beer. The tent pitch was next to the shower, but it was OK. After 22:30 it was very quiet and I could sleep till 8, but I can imagine it can be a problem at other more busy days. Shower fair price (1 euro 4 minutes), but only accepts 1 euro coin, so if you do a late shower, be sure to be prepared. I think I paid around 15 euros for the tent pitch, average camping price I'd say, pretty good
