Camping Alturan

We stopped here as a family of 4 traveling by bike. Some of the staff were friendly, some not so much. The teno pitches are poor. The ground is uneven and unkept. Even though several toilet blocks and water points were pointed out, only one at the top of the hill was opened. The toilet and shower area are old and well used but clean. The price to put up a tent is about €15 overpriced. The place is close to the beach but apart from that it isn't recommended, especially for bike travellers.

What to say about Camping Alturan? On a positive note - location is superb; 500m from the sea in one direction & 500m from the train station in the other direction. But that’s where it ends!! The sanitary facilities are appalling & out of date; no soap in washbasins; no toilet paper or seats in toilets; chipped and broken tiles; precarious steps to navigate if you’re near the centre of the site. With regard to the Restaurant - we ate there one night and honestly - never again! The food was quite definitely, not restaurant standard. The pitches are small and uneven. So if you decide to go there, bring levellers. All in all, overpriced for the lack of quality amenities.

We came really late in the evening and got still accepted. Such nice people and also the best restaurant bar on the campsite. Thank you so much!
