Horseshoe Camping and Glamping

Camping with our own tent. Excellent campsite and our 2nd year of visiting and this time we hit the jackpot with the weather too, so just a perfect stay. Pitches are beautifully spacious, the compost toilet on each pitch is really worth it, they are cleaned regularly and every shower I took was perfectly hot with excellent pressure. Cannot fault this campsite, we love it.

What a hidden gem! Stumbled across this incredible campsite based on a post on a camping Facebook group and it ticked every box for family friendly and amenities we were looking for. Although it was our first time camping without EHU and an eco toilet, we needn’t had worried as the charging & fridge/freezer facilities were perfect and well thought out. We loved how spacious each pitch was with a fantastic under cover seating & cooking area and even our own fire pit area. We felt completely at ease knowing our daughter could play safely in the centre of the field in a well equipped park. The showers are clean and hot, loved that they were individual lockable cubicles with plenty of space to change and that my daughter could come in with me and sit on the chair but that there was a shower curtain for privacy. The honesty hut is a fantastic addition to pick up any treats or firewood and we popped next door to the riding centre cafe to get some ice cream where the staff there were so welcoming. Lotti’s communication was fantastic and so accommodating when needing to amend our booking. We will definitely be booking here again as it is the perfect site and so reasonably priced!

Our second visit here, and I almost didn't want to give a good review because it's such a gem. I want to keep it to myself! The owners are friendly and helpful. Pitches are well maintained and a great little play area for kids. Each pitch has a covered kitchen and picnic bench and separate composting toilet. The pitches are a generous size and carved into a meadow. It's such a lovely peaceful site you can't help but feel relaxed the instant you arrive.
