The Great Glen Hostel

Nicole is the consummate host: welcoming, friendly and helpful. No question we asked (and we asked some daft questions) went unanswered. We upgraded our room, had a marvellous dinner (venison chilli) and enjoyed the most relaxing evening in the lounge sipping a local ale or two. The hostel has all the facilities you would need and is extremely well run and managed. The rolling refurbishment programme really is having a great impact on the hostel guest experience. And, the wine list, wow, better than most restaurants. I would thoroughly recommend this hostel as one of, if not the best, hostel I have ever stayed in.

We had a great time at the Great Glen Hostel! The service was absolutely fantastic, we were always treated with kindness and care. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious, and the service there was just as excellent. The shared bathroom was always very clean, which we really appreciated. The hostel itself is not only cozy and nicely decorated inside, but also looks lovely from the outside, you feel welcome the moment you arrive. Another big plus is the location, from here, you can explore many beautiful places and enjoy great day trips. Thank you for the wonderful time, we would happily come back anytime!

We spent a night at Great Glen Hostel and were very impressed. Our family room was newly refurbished and absolutely spotless with comfy beds and cosy carpets. The location was pretty and perfect as a stop over. The kids enjoyed the llamas and other animals in the nearby enclosure. We self-catered making use of their little kitchen, but the Farmhouse Kitchen seemed a popular place for dinner and breakfast.
