Wonderful cozy place with direct access to the river. Lots of detailed work, a fire pit, bbq, swings, etc.

Today is our last day of our holiday week here at Chalet "Forelle." With a dog and two children (3 and 5), we highly recommend it!!! The apartment is absolutely child-friendly, with lots of extras like a changing table, bed rail, stair gate, potty, step stool in the bathroom, etc.! It's well-equipped, with everything you need for cooking and eating. The garden is absolutely fantastic: well-maintained, colorful, blooming, shady, sunny – something for everyone. The Lieser River with its sparkling sand is a paradise for sandcastle builders of all ages!!! The pool and indoor pool are perfectly fine, and the hotel's play area is amazing! Barbecue area, fire pit, hanging chair, garden loungers – everything is there! The resort is really well-designed and thoughtfully planned, perfect for families who like their own space but still want to use the entire hotel facilities! All in all, a great concept for families with children and dogs!!! I hope to be back!

We spent a week with our dog at the Forelle River Chalet (above). We had a teenager and an adult with us, but even though the chalets belong to a family hotel, we were all thrilled! The beautiful garden surrounding the chalets and the location right on the rushing Lieser River are truly unique. In the garden and on the balcony, you'll find well-maintained hammocks and loungers for relaxing. You can jump into the Lieser (the rocks sparkle everywhere) or take a dip in the pool. The food is homemade and world-class! We love small, family-run hotels with a personal touch. The staff is incredibly friendly. The beauty and massage services offer a lovely atmosphere, excellent quality, and great value for money! ...] The sauna and indoor pool are small but clean and adequate. Everything in the hotel and chalets is well-maintained and furnished to a high standard – nothing in the place is "off the rack." Since our "children" didn't want a stuffed animal as a parting gift, we each received a beautifully painted stone with a lucky angel. That suits the owner perfectly! 😀 From morning till night, she's there for the guests with a wonderfully motivated and proactive approach. When I complimented the pizza rolls one afternoon, she had baked them herself! There are fantastic destinations for day trips all around, something for everyone. If you have a dog, I recommend swimming in Lake Millstatt at Klauberpark or at the Blumenpark Seeboden boat rental. They also offer well-maintained SUPs, pedal boats, and electric boats at great prices. A trip to the Kölnbrein Dam followed by a swim in the Göss Falls and a stroll through Gmünd – all within easy driving distance! 😀 We'll be back!
