Guesthouse Debani i Malesorit

I had a wonderful stay here during the Peaks of Balkans trail. I camped here with a friend and it was in a beautiful location in the mountains. The owners were so kind to us and gave us traditional food. There was also a fire that was so nice at night :) Even if you do not stay the night here, you can also just stop by for a coffee or snack and appreciate the views! Great experience!

A friend and me had an amazing stay at Debani i Malesorit! The owners are amazing hosts and the food is true original (we had the mountain borek, really great!) The wife collected the herbs for it in the afternoon and baked it freshly for us. We stayed in our own little hut overnight with great atmosphere. If you love nature, appreciate living in such a rural place (everything is carried up by foot) and are able to use an biological toilet (really clean and I prefer it above most hostel ones:)). We would recommend it to anyone looking for a little different experience on the peaks of Balkan or else. Communication via email works great.

We stumbled across this guesthouse after a long 8 hours of hiking. It was wonderful. A couple lives up here for the summer months and staying at their guesthouse (tent or room is possible) was one of our most authentic and welcoming guesthouse experiences. If you love being out in nature as if you are wildcamping but also enjoy delicious food, a campfire and an outdoor shower this guesthouse is perfect for you. Of all guesthouses on the POB this one is very much recommended!
