Camping in Tzoucdana

This campsite is truly a hidden gem. Despite the lack of washing machines, we were very happy with our stay. We received the Pass Anniviers Liberté, which gave us free access to various transport and leisure facilities such as swimming pools, tennis courts, and mini-golf. The campsite itself is quite spacious, with a playground for children and a small pond. I would definitely recommend staying here for a few days.

If I could give zero stars I would. Staff here were so unfriendly. We had cancelled camping here as we were worried about the weather and were charged a cancellation fee. We ended up camping here (on the same night we cancelled) and asked them as a gesture of goodwill to deduct the cancellation charge, but they made us pay in full again. Do not book this place in advance, it was the only place on the Haute Route with no sympathy. Read the other negative reviews and if booking in advance there are many other options in town that have favourable cancellation terms.

Very friendly people, cozy small camping. Perfect for tents. The restaurant was very good except for the many flies. There is only 1 toilet/shower per gender, they could have been cleaner. The highlight of the camping is the majestic mountains that surround it.
