The Eltermere Inn

We came here on a Sunday for a celebratory meal as we were staying nearby and wow. The roasts were the best we've ever had, beef, lamb and turkey, all incredible. Reasonably priced for the quality and portion. The non roast mains were also absolutely amazing, trout and tortellini. We all ordered starters, which doesn't happen often, as they all sound so good. And they were. The staff were lovely and so attentive, having real passion about the food and providing drinks recommendations (which weren't just the dearest things on the menu). They sat us in a beautiful private room, with a large window overlooking the water and fells. The seating rooms were all immaculately decorated too, super cozy and elegant. An amazing experience. Would 100% recommend for anyone staying in the surrounding area.

Have enjoyed a drink here in the past but when we went in today for lunch we were effectively refused service for my daughter who has a nut allergy. In this day and age kitchens should be able to accomodate such allergies as they are common. Felt almost discriminatory. Won't be going back again.

Great service, nice area. The room was nice, tidy and clean but WiFi was awful and the shower didn't even get us wet. Proper good staff tho, and the food was great 👌🏻👍🏻
