Ferienhaus Chalet Datscha

A beautiful chalet in a stunning location, superbly equipped and managed by a very friendly hostess! You have peace and quiet, unbeatable views, and yet you're just minutes away from the ski area by ski bus. The bus stop is right below the property. The village is also easily accessible by bus or car, where you'll find all the shops you need for a holiday like this. This has been our fifth consecutive year staying in this chalet, and we've been thrilled every time. We highly recommend it.

We've stayed at this place twice now, once with four adults and once with three. The house's location in the Bernese Oberland is truly wonderful; situated at the very end of the Simmental valley on a mountainside at an altitude of approximately 1300 meters, it offers a beautiful view of the valley and the mountains opposite. The house is accessible via a well-maintained, winding road, either by car or bus. The village of Lenk in the valley is the terminus of the Swiss railway, making it easy to arrive without a car and/or to take car-free excursions in the surrounding area. There is a parking space at the house. You can start beautiful hikes into the mountains directly from the house; the trails are well-maintained. We've stayed there twice in the summer, but the location, with its easily accessible ski lifts, is certainly also well-suited for winter holidays. The house is very well-equipped (fireplace, Wi-Fi, etc.) and allows for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. There are good shops and excellent restaurants in the village. ... The ground floor is very spacious and includes a living/dining room, a generously sized bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, and a kitchen. The first floor has another bathroom and further bedrooms, though these have sloping ceilings, which isn't a problem. I'd also like to highlight the garden, which is a lovely place to relax with a view of the mountains. Sun loungers, a barbecue, and other amenities are provided. I'd also like to mention the basement, which has a ping-pong table that we used frequently. I also gave the "service" 5 stars, even though, strictly speaking, it can't be rated like a hotel or restaurant service. However, we found the entire house and its furnishings very functional and clean; moreover, the hostess is exceptionally friendly. Overall, we felt extremely comfortable here and are definitely planning to return.
