I stayed here for one night on my Via Francigena walking trip to Rome which I started in Lausanne and found it the most delightful surprise. Stephania and Christian took over the running in March and are the perfect hosts full of care and concern for your every wellbeing. The accommodation is very good with a large back garden and a cool vibes feel to the place. Stephania even organised early morning yoga for me in the garden to help stretch out my strained tendons and muscles! It is definetly by far the best value for money on the Via Francigena and attracts interesting and discerning guests to complete a great experience.

A house with a very cold heart. The owners don't practice what they preach. House of Greed would suit them better. There's a camera in the kitchen and maybe in other places to. Why? And it is against the law. Also, they pretend not to have a bank account, so you can only pay cash. This is also against the law. Breakfast was a slap in the face. A little cup of cold coffee, which has been in the can since the day before (mind you, we are in Italy...), a little roll, not much more. But really! To be avoided in all cases. It's just a few kilometers more to the lively town of Cavaglia with shops and restaurants and a very good hostel for 7x less money than what the House of Greed wants to squeeze out of you.

Very disappointing. Susanna was not welcoming. She sent a message the day before with the entrance code and telling us to send photos of our passports by WhatsApp. After we arrived we went for a walk to Viverone then had to return as we got a message telling us to meet her at the Casa at 18.00 punctually (!) Breakfast was poor, coffee and water in flasks from the day before so tepid by the morning. We were told to heat it in the microwave..perhaps they could buy a Nespresso machine and kettle for the guests? 1 roll each which we could heat up in the the mini oven, some biscuits and a small amount of jam. There was a video camera in the kitchen and signs telling us not to use the oven nor to eat in the bedrooms; the bookcase was padlocked so we could not read the books. I would recommend avoiding this place and walking another 1.5km to Viverone where there are other places to stay.
