Son Grua - Adults Only

What an absolutely wonderful experience here! We traveled here in August 2025 and loved the property. Our trip was short so we tried to pack in as much as we could outside of the villa so we didn't get to experience everything BUT the service of Nicolás and his team was top notch. We did have dinner on property one night and it was delicious. Highly recommend staying here!

We stayed here for almost a week in March, the place is very well kept, clean and mostly quiet. We liked the breakfast (especially the croissants) and the kind and personal attentiveness of Nicholas,always very friendly, but never overbearing, which is something we greatly appreciated. We felt like home. We also didn’t have a car and often walked to the nearby town and took the bus (services are infrequent though and in the evenings we took a taxi), but it suited us well, we felt less stressed by not having to drive and take it easy. Two caveats to mention: we decided to already arrive 1 day earlier; which meant we had to change rooms but that was no problem for us since we knew about it in advance. Unfortunately, upon checking out of our first room, a few hours later we were approached as apparently a small crack in the shower glass door had occurred and we were asked if we had done this. We genuinely had not and I didn’t even close the door of that shower as it was very spacious and I didn’t even realize there was an extra glass panel (the door). This left us with a bitter and uncomfortable feeling, despite not having broken the door we felt like they must be thinking it was us. This was a miss on their end on not noticing it earlier (it was a very small crack and we asked if we could take a look). For the price of the hotel and being asked that question leaving a small doubt if they believed us, was not a great start but we tried to not let it bother us, but the feeling lingered a bit. They seemed quite convinced (or the cleaner was) they would have noticed if it was there before, but it was so small sometimes these things don’t jump into the eye. Really uncomfortable for us and this was very unexpected. No apology was given after we confirmed several times that we did not cause the crack. Despite that, the second room we had with the terrace was facing the pool side directly, with no trees in between leaving little privacy during the day, and one night we had very loud neighbors until the early morning hours. Hence the 4 stars, but we really enjoyed the quietness and intimacy of the hotel and appreciated very much the work and effort Nicholas has put into this magical place, something difficult to find nowadays. Absolute heaven. I came to Son Grua for a long week after a five year long project, needing to restore and enjoy nature - and I could not have picked a better place. Nicolás and his team were perfectly attentive and charming. I hesitated to review this as I don't want to get the secret out, but the place is so special that I had to pay it at least this very little nod.
