I visited this restaurant, so my opinion is based solely on the food and service. It represents the more typical lower-standard Czech establishment serving smažený sýr and beer. That said, the quality of restaurants in the Czech Republic varies significantly, and many of them are genuinely good- professional, welcoming, and pleasantly cozy. Czech cuisine in general is simple and very traditional. Apart from the occasional pizza or “Chinese” variation- which appear in reasonable proportion- the country largely preserves its culinary identity. This is something I truly appreciate and always look forward to when traveling there. Most places are professional and authentically local. Unfortunately, this restaurant belongs to the other category- the kind where the food is noticeably worse than in comparable places, and the service even more disappointing. Czech waitstaff are usually professional and impressively efficient. Here, however, that standard was far from being met. The food was edible, but nothing more. The service felt somewhat chaotic and not particularly friendly or attentive. On the positive side, the building itself is old and beautiful, well preserved, with visible sculptures and old architectural elements that create a strong atmosphere. Thanks to this interior, you can still feel a pleasant vibe. The conclusion is simple: visit for the setting and enjoy the historic space. If you lower expectations regarding the food and service, you may still have a reasonably good time overall.

Beautiful , cozy place with very tasty traditional Czech food, beer and desserts. After whole day of biking, hiking or skiing a dinner there is like a smile from God. I love this place since first visit in 2009 (and nothing has changed since that time and this is a good thing). Strong recommendation

The restaurant is great. Perfect for a hot chocolate break mid skiing. The bathroom is also 5X cheaper that down in Poland for non guests. Right of the slope 10m of the Polish-Czech border.
