A real gem of a hotel that genuinely under-promised and over-delivered. From the lovely complimentary afternoon tea, incredible walks right from the hotel, and cosy fire in the lounge. The rooms were comfortable and well done (we stayed in a standard room but will definitely upgrade next time). The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming and there was a really warm, social atmosphere among guests. Dinner was a highlight, the menu changed nightly and every meal was delicious. We genuinely looked forward to it each evening. The wine selection was excellent too and very reasonably priced. A fantastic stay and somewhere we’ll absolutely return to. Highly recommend.

We stayed here 2 nights this week, we had dinner, bed and breakfast. Menu for dinner changes each night and they were very accommodating with my dietary issue. Staff very friendly. Rooms well designed. The whole place had a relaxed vibe

A gem of a place and one that far surpassed our expectations. Only stayed one night but wish it had been longer. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotless. All staff helpful and friendly. Some really nice touches such as tea and coffee always available and scones when we got back cold from a walk. All available to freely help yourself. Lovely to be able to take the dogs with us. Quality of food was fabulous with top quality ingredients and attention to detail. It’s obvious that corners aren’t cut and they genuinely care about giving guests a great experience. It’s low key, unstuffy and very friendly. We shall return!
