Hotel Špik

The hotel is in a quiet location, but not far from the main road. The 3-star rooms are up to the standard you would expect. There are two negative points related to this. The first is that the hand soap in the bathroom was not refilled once during the five days we spent at the hotel. The other is that no matter how we locked the door, either from the inside or the outside, it opened immediately with a slight push or pull. On the positive side, the restaurant's menu and the wellness facilities are excellent.One negative comment about the spa is that there is a sign on the wall saying that ball games are not allowed, but despite this, I was hit on the head several times in the jacuzzi. There is a spa attendant, but he doesn't really care. The price is very reasonable and the ski slopes in the area are easily accessible. Kranjska Gora is 10 minutes away, Tarvisio 30. Overall, I would gladly recommend this hotel.

We stayed a week with my family, great location and not our first stay there, always the 4 stars, but still the same room that now desperately need a renewal after those years. But the view is wonderful. Service is stone cold, big disappointment for turning the lights off at 20:30 when we are eating our dessert, come on! Pools are great but overcrowded with kids, meh. Food is good and in generous quantities. Sometimes a bit tasteless. I read a comment saying that the big downside is that the 4 stars shares the commodities with the 3 stars, sadly it shows… Prices are going up but the experience keeps downgrading. I think it’s our last stay there…

For the price you pay, you get more than enough value on quality of rooms, food, and spa. The saunas are great and I’ve had the best massage I’ve had in a long time. Staff is lovely and professional.
