Residence Beau Rivage

We needed a right place to stay during our summer trip to the Côtes-d'Armor in Brittany (July, 2018). This region is far from the French capital, but very tempting for lovers of adventure, nature, sea, local cuisine, etc. We rented an apartment with a fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor of a typical old Breton house overlooking a small Bay with the port and the sandy beach. This residence is called "Beau Rivage" (beautiful beach). It has four apartments and a courtyard with flowers and a barbecue. The owners are a very hospitable family who is willing to resolve any issues to make their guests' stay enjoyable. E.g., it should be borne in mind that mobile calls are not always stable in such far corners of Brittany. So, if you had a necessary, the owners offered to use their landline. Internet was available all the time. Also, there is the menu for vacationers (optional) with a seductive choice from the European and Breton dishes, as well as some great specialities of Russian cuisine. We stayed five nights and got a lot of pleasure from swimming (100 m down to the beach by granite stairs, decorated on both sides with flowering plants), walking on the picturesque cliffs, and trips to the nearest medieval towns. The price/quality of stay was very reasonable (accommodation + bed linen + towels). Also, thanks to the equipped kitchen, we have saved on restaurants. The price of seafood from the local fishmongers is much nicer than if you have dinner in the city. Comparing to our previous trips, I consider the Beau Rivage was our best solution.

It's a Belle Époque aparthotel, a bit dated, but with excellent value for money. The owners are incredibly accommodating. They lent us their garage so we could store our mountain bikes for 15 days (high-end bikes). The view from the first-floor apartment is really lovely. Of course, there are a few areas for improvement, but the view, the location (ideal for visiting the Côtes-d'Armor region), and the price are definite pluses for this establishment.

Alone in the hotel with our friends, the rooms are apartments so comfortable...😅
