Gasthaus Löwen

Nice, recommendable family-run hotel in Bernau Dorf. Beautiful view towards Bernau Innerlehen. Rooms were tidy and very clean with rather modern interior. The key-chain for the room is rather large, would be easier to have a smaller one to carry. One may want to lock the room door at night, has closing the door does not lock it from outside. Restaurant is nicely decorated with a tild stove to warm oneself. Service was friendly, forthcoming, kind and helpful. A basket with buns for breakfast was placed at the table, may have been nice to check how many or which kind of buns we wanted. Buns themself were rather small, but tasty and enough. Note that dinner is not served Wednesdays. Finish and infrared saunas and the swimming pool are a great addition to a long day of walking. Towels are offered in the pool area. bathrobes can be lended.

You can experience an orthodox German food and culture at Gasthaus Löwen. I got local trout fried fish, which was excellent. My partner’s sister got salmon trout, which was a little bit confusing, weather or not if it was salmon or trout, because it tasted like salmon, but it said it was trout. Foamy gentle fried Trout is so much better than the salmon trout. If you are getting fish, get the Foamy gentle fried Trout. If you are a vegetarian, the veggie dumpling looked really good too. It comes in three pieces in triangle shapes. Overall, the food was great! Service was very interesting. The waitress, I believe she was one of the owners, was wearing traditional German clothes. One more thing. The restaurant was very quiet without any background music.

That was wonderfull...only the internet is so slow and the shower room there is no door to close thats why everytime I take shower the water come from the shower room and the floor get wet...which is dangerous when you slip on the floor
