Hotel Hoposa Costa d’Or

Great hotel with a very nice view. Breakfast is fresh and have multiple choices. Pool is nice as well but not heated. The room are cosy but not soundproofing, you can hear your neighbors going to the toilet. The gym is average but tiny. Pricing are a bit too high for what they offer. But in general I still give a good review to this hotel because the service is good and super kind. They have a little attention for our 2years anniversary wedding.

I agree with other guests in saying that the property is AMAZING. Very beautiful! The rooms also were very nice and clean. The breakfast buffet was also super yummy with very generous choices. And yes, the hotel is very eerily quiet. We believe the reason for this is because the owner does live on the premises so maybe this is a rule imposed to keep things quiet for owners. The reason for our 1 star review is because when you stay at a hotel of this caliber you don't expect to be treated rudely by front desk personal. The front desk person we had the misfortune of dealing with was Michael - an older gentleman that did not want to bother with any type of questions. The incident that occurred was simply asking him about clarifications for the restaurant on site. We were confused and thought there was another restaurant located elsewhere on the property - after 2 questions that we made he responded "Do you understand or do I have to repeat myself again"? He spoke to us in such a condesending manner it was unbelieveable to us that he had a position in the front desk! Shame on the owner for not choosing better personal. Remember this is the business of hospitality! Luckily we didn't need to deal with this person again because he was not there everyday. Thanks to Monica in the front desk we avoided any other drama like this and enjoyed the rest of our stay. Our advice to owner/management - "You Need Better People In Your Front Desk"! This is the face that welcomes your guests!

Everything always depends on what you want out of your vacation! For this stay, you would get an absolutely perfect vacation for: quiet, peaceful, relaxing area above the water. Beautiful views, but not a beach that’s remarkably easy to get to. You have to hike there. So if the pool, beverages, & sun is your vibe? This is an excellent choice!! The staff is SO friendly and helpful. They seem like they love their jobs - and why not since the view is so perfect!? Room was very clean, but lost a star because it’s not too spacious. Location lost a star because the road here is SO windy and small. It was a bit nerve wracking to drive it and we haven’t driven off the property for that reason. Luckily, you can hike to the water!
