L'Olmo Agriturismo Gambassi Terme (FI)

We were walking on the Via Francigena, on arrival we were in the wrong place. On ringing Helga she drove out to get us as it was another 3k from where we were. Place is stunning just what you would expect from a Tuscan house. Charming with lovely surroundings and a pool, but the jewel in the crown is Helga herself. Not only did she pick us up, also made a dinner reservation for us, took us to and from the restaurant, laid on an amazing breakfast then took us to the start point to begin our walk. I then found I had forgotten my sunglasses. Helga then brought them back for me. She certainly is one in a million a very kind lovely lady. Would recommend a stay here.

Helga runs a brilliant operation here in the heart of Tuscany. Her family home has been converted with such charm into from a typical Tuscan farm villa into great apartments, with a gorgeous pool set in the vineyards and olive groves. If you are looking for rustic charm and an attentive host, within striking distance of Siena, Florence, San Giminagno then look no further. We have stayed twice in consecutive years, as a young family of four, and aside the road noise cannot fault this place!

The most neurotic and aggressive host I’ve come across. She ruined our trip and made life hell for us. Avoid this place at any cost.
