Spitfire park

Just got back from spending 5 nights, a brilliant low cost campsite in a perfect location, fell in love with the nearby towns and beaches and the campsite was relaxed and peaceful. Site staff were friendly and accommodating. My kids loved the park and watching the aeroplanes take off and land as well as a car chase event that was taking place the bank holiday. Plenty of activities the locations was perfect. Only downfall was the lack of toilet and showers during peak times and at times the maintenance of these facilities. However it will not put us off returning as the sites qualities outweighed these small inconveniences.

Great secluded campsite. Amazing views of the airport where we’ve watched light aircraft take off and land as well as watching a group skydive into the runway. Toilets, cafe and showers are excellent and well maintained.

Spitfire Park,is a former RAF Spitfire base . For some people they can say it's easy to find ,well you have to try it first. Access is along a narrow road and entrance is not clear. It's no electric,prices are reasonable. You can basically put down your tent or parking car whenever you like,but if you leave for a beach and shopping, and later come back you find yourself panicking-no space for your car or tent.😪 it's really hard to find any empty space if you came late after 5 pm.😪 There is very small pub and nice people working there, play area with some wood tables for your drinks and watch a sunset. Those facilities could not accommodate the number of campers,long queue for toilets,one was blocked and people still used 🤦‍♂️,no sanitary bins available, shower water will trick you.
