Wow – what an amazing site! Beautiful views, reasonably priced, and we stayed for a week in February which was perfect. Martin’s Bar does an incredible roast – it’s like a carvery but done in two sittings so everything is really fresh. Definitely worth the money. You can buy a loyalty card for £5 which gives you 10% off – well worth it if you’re staying a while or enjoy a few drinks! The pool was very nice and clean. There is an extra charge (£4 per day or around £13 for 6 days), but we thought it was fair for the facilities. Our pitch was just perfect – we stayed on gravel pitch 93. It’s first come, first served and I imagine it would be very hard to get in the summer! The facilities were spotless with very good water pressure (always a bonus!). Staff were friendly and welcoming. The onsite Spar is well priced and even stocks meat from the local butcher – you can also order from them and collect in the shop. Honestly, the best steak we’ve ever had!

We visited in our motor home and stayed on a gravel pitch. The pitches are all well maintained and a fair size. The toilets and showers are clean. Martins bar was a lovely space with a nice atmosphere. The spar was well stocked with a good variety of goods. The swimming pool was warm and clean. Unfortunately the sauna and steam room were being refurbished so we couldn’t use them. Our only grumble was that we had to pay to use the pool.

We recently stayed at Highlands End Caravan Park and it’s one of those places that immediately makes you relax as soon as you arrive. The whole site is immaculately kept, with a calm, welcoming feel and not a thing out of place. Check-in was a great start to the stay. The staff were friendly, helpful, and couldn’t do enough for us, which really sets the tone. Having a well-stocked Spar shop right on site was a real bonus too — ideal for picking up essentials without needing to head out. The facilities deserve a special mention, particularly the showers. They’re modern, spacious, and spotlessly clean, with plenty of room and a fresh feel — easily some of the best we’ve used on a campsite. The views from the pitches over the bay are absolutely stunning and something you never tire of, whether it’s first thing in the morning or as the light changes through the day. The site itself is clean, tidy, and clearly very well cared for. For families, the kids’ park was ace and kept everyone entertained, and there’s a great dog exercise field right at the back of the site, which was really convenient. We visited out of season so unfortunately the swimming pool was closed, but this was expected and didn’t take anything away from our stay. The walk down to the beach is fairly steep, but it’s a lovely, safe route and perfect for taking the family down to enjoy the coastline. Overall, Highlands End is a beautifully run site in a fantastic location — peaceful, well thought out, and ideal for a relaxing break. It’s somewhere we’d happily return to and confidently recommend.
