Via Francigena Garden Sharing

Ideal replacement for wild camping. Primitive residence with a water tap (drinking water), like in the wild. Hostess is very friendly. She prepares your visit well: table, chairs, mound, hammock and handshower are ready. She’s nice at communication. Gives tips for the area, such as the gnocci festival in San Lorenzo Nuova. Very quiet area and private place for tent between the olive trees. Car can be parked nearby.

Despite we were not abale to meet regarding our different schedule, Ilaria was a very good host and caring. And end with a nice littel colazione in the morning. 😊 Nature and sunset was beautiful. The place is in a very calm location. Close to the lake and a small village. The road is not always paved, but easy to drive with a normal car. The field to place the tent is not 100% flat, so you should find the best angle to place your tent. Overall a good place to sleep in a warmthfull family garden.

I enjoyed my stay in Ilaria's garden very much and was grateful as she accepted a last minute request from me. The olive grove was very peaceful and starry. There was a charging point for my phone and a shower available. In the morning, she brought me some delicious bread, homemade olive oil, and jam and a cup of tea. A really recommended stop off point.
