Old Daltongate House

A charming stay with wonderful hosts We stayed at Old Daltongate House for just one night, and it was absolutely lovely. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, with great communication throughout. They kindly let us park our motorcycle securely around the back, which we really appreciated. They also had excellent local knowledge and were more than happy to take the time to chat and share tips about where to go and what to see in the area. Our room was peaceful and beautifully presented, with a lovely en-suite bathroom. Considering the house is over 500 years old, the refurbishment has been done superbly—charming and full of character, yet modern and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic—cooked to order, with vegetarian options available, and everything was fresh and delicious. We’ll definitely be back. Ulverston is a lovely town, and this guest house is the perfect place to stay if you want to be looked after by truly lovely hosts.

The owners of this stunning, immaculate guest house saved us from a night of hell in another local hotel. We called on off chance of getting a room and within minutes we were there. Everything was stunning, great quality, quirky and the breakfast was outstanding !!!! I will be back !
