Very good

Bivouac in an isolated location, the only one in the wild Monti del Sole. Long access along a trail that in several places becomes a simple, faint trail. Access is not technically difficult, but due to the somewhat unsettling environment, the significant elevation gain, and the trail, which is sometimes only intuitive, it's only for experts. The surrounding trails are all somewhat challenging: getting to the bivouac is already quite an adventure. Watch out for ticks...

Not for everyone. About 1,000 meters of elevation gain for 10-12 km, the trail is poorly marked, often invisible, and without a GPS track, it's difficult to navigate. In some places, it's very exposed and rugged, and hasn't been maintained for a while. There are sections equipped with ladders and cables. Avoid in snow (really?) or rain, as it's extremely slippery. Finally, it's full of ticks, either because of the rugged and wild terrain or because the altitude is low. There are perhaps even more than in the Tramontina Valley in Friuli. At the top, there's no view; the bivouac is nestled in the woods. Recommended? No. If you like a tough workout, have a recent tick vaccination, and love wild mountain scenery, then this is for you.
