Auberge de l'Hospice

We stayed one night while walking the Via Francigena. It was clean, quiet and cozy. They offered a simple three-course dinner for chf 29, which was delicious.

I stayed here while hiking the Tour des Combins and was very impressed. I was in one of the private rooms, which was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, the wifi was fast, and the employees were friendly. I was hiking in from Italy and realized I had brought the wrong plug adapter with me, so the woman who checked me in let me borrow one for the night. So nice! I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend! Also, be sure to check out the dogs. :)

What an amazing location to stay. The peace, the serenity, the views. Accommodation is basic (considering you are staying 12000 ft up in the mountains it is a great facility) but very clean and comfortable. Staff are lovely and friendly. Only drawback, but not really considering the whole 12000ft up thing..... is you are limited on food options at night. The local Italian restaurant on the Italian side of the border, 300 metres away is quite good. But you will stay here for the night time peace and nothing else matters really..... This is a MUST STAY location one time in your life!
