Owl Lodge

Wonderful place, location and property. It's part of a complex of about 30 lodges but very well spaced out, so one is looking out over grass lands and trees with the Loch behind them. It's very beautiful and peaceful. There are red squirrels and lots of birds outside. I've rated it only 4 instead of 5 for the lack of a washing machine. We were there for Mountain Biking and Hillwalking and hence muddy every day. I am assuming this to be a common reason for people visiting this location. The nearest launderette was 45 mins away and one was expected to wait there a couple of hours for the process. That ruins a day. There was a dishwasher that in my opinion would have been better swapped for a washing machine. We booked through Sykes and to their credit they called me back having researched detailed addresses of all the launderettes in about a 50 mile radius. I visit the Highlands every year and this was the first stay without a washing machine, there was no drying rack either, it was problematic.
