We had major issues with the management company. We let a friend sleep on the sofa one night as his place fell through. We immediately got an email demanding 50E, to be sent to a private account. This is more than we were paying per person per night. We were threatened with expulsion if we didn’t pay right away. One of our party who is Spanish called the company to reason with them, and the woman was threatening and accused us of lying and said the 50E was a fine, and was generally unpleasant. We finally asked to see the owner, a local old lady, who said she only charged 10E per night for an extra person and no fines. We paid her 50E for two nights in the end as we wanted to show willing. We suspect the management company prey on tourists who don’t speak the language, and then they pocket most of the fine as the owner didn’t see it. We worried them so much by speaking to the owner directly that they called up from The head office in Madrid. All very worrying and sad for the owner. We also had a problem we kept reporting but nothing was done about - huge leaks coming into one of the bedrooms from above.

Positive: Beautiful, clean apartment with a great view, quiet and central location ideal for excursions into the mountains or down to the beaches in the valley. Quick and easy communication via WhatsApp. Negative: Narrow stairwell with steep stairs. Very narrow bed, not suitable for two adults. Limited kitchen equipment. No sun loungers or comfortable chairs on the terraces. Be sure to bring a double adapter and extension cord, as there are very few electrical outlets.
