STF Vaisaluokta

Don't get me wrong, the place is beautiful, views are great, but the staff was just really unwelcoming. We arrived completely soaked looking for shelter from rain and transport across the lake, but the lady working there seemed really annoyed by our presence. We understand that in Corona times everybody needs to keep distance, but it doesn't mean you need to be rude to tourists if you work for a tourist association. There was no signs anywhere warning we shouldn't be entering the shelter, and when I did to ask for advice on transport the first thing I heard was that I need to leave. She did offer a temporary shelter from rain in a shed, but her overall attitude was just not professional at all. Don't work in a mountain shelter if you don't like hikers. Simple as that.

Nice STF cottage located near Vaisaluokta Sami village with possibility to take boat or helicopter to Ritsem and Änonjalme. Close to a nice little trip to visit Vaisaluokta village. Beautiful surroundings, although a bit gloomy to see the damage from the dam for the power plant which is constantly eroding the shores
