Albergue El Congreso

Stayed 07/06/25 - Excellent Albergue, the nice landlady let us in quite late to a great room with 2 bunk beds, en suite and balcony overlooking a main square in Villaviciosa. Great communal space and Camino advice board near reception, very central to several restaurants and bars. We will stay here again in the future!

Great place to stay while on the Camino !!! Fab room , 4 beds with a bathroom in one room . Great balcony overlooking a very lovely park !!! Clean and comfortable !!!

Hostel El Congreso was clean, and in an excellent location for us to go out and eat, try ciders, walk about, etc. I gave it 4 stars for a couple of reasons: (#1.) I paid 5 euro extra for breakfast which consisted of a continental breakfast made of white toast, coffee, plastic-wrapped muffins, tang (sugary orange drink) and tiny chocolate pastries. This is a breakfast that I could have purchased for 1.5 or 2 euros just downstairs the hostel. (#2.) The room smelled a tad musky...not a huge deal because it was clean. Overall, I recommend this place. It beat competition in price/location.
