By far the best place I have ever stayed (Camino or not)! The hosts were so nice and accommodating - they even offered to carry my backpack to my room when I was in pain. There is a beautiful backyard with a pool and hot tub, and plenty of space to relax. The community dinner was also amazing - spaghetti bolognese, soup, omelette, wine - and the breakfast the next morning was a great way to start the day. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!! Made this tiny town one of my favorite stops.

I couldn't have been happier with my stay at Sagres. Room was so pleasant - air conned, super cozy beds, book exchange, very clean sheets and everything. The garden is a high point, it is worth the stay just to relax there after your long day of walking! Breakfast is simple but good -- great coffee, OJ, bread and jams. My only improvement would be a non dairy milk for breakfast such as oat or soy. Other than that, five stars! I would recommend anyone doing the PC to stay here.

It is a hostel, I understand, but the beds are super tiny and the space is very small, comparing other hostels. As a hostel hosting mostly the pilgrims, it offers dinners for 10 euros per person. After a long day of walking and situated in a small village, it is almost impossible for the pilgrims not to buy. My 10 euros worth of dinner was a dinner roll, butter, a bowl of vegetables soup, pasta with salty meat sauce and some shaved cheese, with a banana as dessert. It was not satisfactory nutrition wise and honestly, I would appreciate if the host would be more caring and treat his guests as families. That means serving some substantial meals to the pilgrims on the Camino.
