Room was spotlessly clean. Small en-suite but again, this was very clean. Good selection of biscuits and tea & coffee in the room and extra heater incase it was nippy. Big comfy bed. Very quiet location but a quick walk to the local pub and restaurants. The owner is efficient and well organised. Boots off before entering the house (which is totally fair enough as they were bogging). Coats and boots in the drying room. Breakfast which I have seen other bad reviews of was really nice and very filling. 2 boiled eggs, warm crusty roll, croissant, babybel, cheddar, yoghurt, jams, cereal. Plenty to go walking on!

I stayed here for 1 night as it was getting late and I couldn’t find a place for wildcamping. The place was very clean, well maintained, and is around 10min walking to the center of Tyndrum. There were also extra blankets if needed, and the breakfast was very nice.

We had an overnight stay while walking the WHW. We were met by the owner who did not introduce himself and just started our interaction with a "follow me" We were led to a shed and told "luggage he-ahr". Another "follow me" was issued and we were taken the the door of the building where further orders were received. " Cases he-ahr", " boot off he-ahr" and " follow me to the boot room" We were then told to leave our boots and walking poles there and when questioned why the sticks had to be left i was advised he didn't want the room wallpaper damaged! We were shown our room with an ensuite which was basically a tiny converted cupboard. Breakfast the next morning was a meagre affair with prepackaged processed cheese among the offerings. This was not the hearty Scottish breakfast I hoped for. After laying the food on our table we were advised that our host was " retiring to his quarters" at which time he went into the kitchen and locked the door. We had no further contact with him. After walking 12 miles we were looking forward to a nice relaxing stay. Instead we felt that we had walked into the local barracks. I thought we were guests and not new recruits, we had never been Cadets before. Although the place was clean and the bed comfortable I cannot recommend this accommodation.
