Camping Morteratsch

What a wonderful place! Nestled ongst the mountains and a glacier and surrounded by waterfalls, lakes, creeks and rivers this place is heaven on Earth. The amenities are top notch, from a small grocery shop with fresh bread, croissants and rolls every morning. There's a restaurant on site as well. The whole campsite is such a peaceful place that even though we were supposed to stay for 3 nights only, we extended it by 2 as soon as we arrived. The staff was very accommodating and kind, helping with any questions we had. They are also very dog friendly and we had a fun time meeting with other dogs and campers during our stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our two week camper van trip with our dog in October. This was one of the prettiest campsites we’ve ever been to, with the autumn colours. The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was really good. We had a pitch away from the main facility block/reception which was really nice to be able to relax within the trees. Direct walk from the campsite to the glacier was a bonus, the walk was beautiful! We had some food in the restaurant on the fondue night, was super delicious and the lady working in there was so nice. Would recommend this campsite to anyone considering it!

This campsite is located in outstanding surroundings offering spectacular views in every direction. Plenty of hiking trails are available including the famous glacier path. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, after booking the spot online the check-in is very quick and unproblematic. The local shop offers anything you need for a pleasant stay, including fresh bread every morning. Highly recommended winter when it's very quiet and one may enjoy the nature to the fullest.
