Coruisk House Hotel

Coruisk house is a stunning set of 4 cottages that have been perfectly designed with cozy evenings in mind. We stayed in An Nead which their dog friendly cottage which also has a ramp at the entrance for accessibility, but they also have one of the cottages with an electric car charging point so there is a cottage for all types of travellers. The hosts are a super charming and friendly couple who will indulge in a little chat should you accept. Now the main highlight was the food. The four course menu on offer is just exceptional, I don’t think you will find anything in the Isle of Skye that will top this. I will note that the menu is not tailored towards vegetarians so bare this in mind. Also the cocktails on offer which are slight twists on well known classic are just beautiful with fresh ingredients used all round.

Our seventh visit since 2018 which must speak for itself! We love Skye, and this lovely restaurant with rooms beautifully situated on the glorious Elgol peninsular is so special. Iain's food is exceptional - carefully sourced local first-class ingredients and so expertly prepared by him alone. Iain and Clare also have a very loyal team. If you prefer noisy, fast restaurants this may not be for you, as the pace is slow, gentle but very special.

Our favourite stop over from our 8 day NC500 trip. Claire and Ian run a amazing hotel. With a bonus of some dogs if you want to see them. Breakfast was 10 / 10 and was the best breakfast on the trip. The range of food available, quality of ingredients and overall style was perfect. Room with a view, a super comfy bed and great shower what more could you want. Bonus of super fluffy robes Shame we only booked 1 night.
