The Portbyhan Hotel

I'm unable to comment on the rooms as I've not stayed. A group of us thoroughly enjoyed the quizz night on 25th October raising money for Looe fireworks. The food was absolutely delicious as always and well presented. Compliments to the kitchen staff and to the waiting staff who were all very friendly and efficient. Henry the quizz master was great. Hopefully you will hold more of these nights

Arrived at this hotel Monday 29th December for 4 night for New Year. We were expecting entertainment in a separate room but it was held in the restaurant little space to dance. Food wand service was excellent. Room we had was very noisy and hot all the time. Told noise from kitchen extractors, nothing they could do as hotel full. Water pressure hit and miss. Room housekeeping very good. Other guests complained same things concerning their rooms. Even shower head missing, radiator caps missing so not able to regulate heating g. They were addressed and sorted out. In our opinion this hotel was not suitable for the amount of people staying there. We would not choose to go to this hotel again due to problems as above.

After talking to headchef Chris, on Saints & Smugglers 100 miler race we popped in to sample the cuisine. The food was delicious and really good quality. The local moulle was amazingly cooked! 100% recommend. And the hotel itself is on our list when we come again we want to stay here. :)
