Casa rurale Colleccio

At Easter 2025 we were guests of Margherita at Semi in Mente. The holiday flat is located in a lovingly renovated, rustic and secluded farmstead from the 14th century. The furnishings of the flat leave nothing to be desired and it also has a terrace with a great view of the valley. Margherita is very nice, gave us a warm welcome and also has very good restaurant recommendations. Hikers will discover beautiful hiking trails around the farmstead. If you feel like it, you can also take a cookery course with Margherita or enjoy the beautiful garden. The location is great for excursions to Viareggio, Pisa, Lucca or Carrara, for example. And if you like driving, you'll also get your money's worth on the many winding roads. We can recommend Semi in Mente without reservation and will be happy to return when we are in the area.

Margherita and Pierfrancesco are very warm-hearted hosts! We felt really comfortable with them and also with the cozy and quiet guest house. It's a place where your soul can rest and can store new energy. For us it was inspiering to do some pasta and risotto lessons and we learned much about how to use different local herbs. This place is also a good starting point to visit pisa and lucca, but also for hiking in the mountains or going to the beach. We will remember both the great time we spent as a couple on the terrace of the house and the cooking together with Margherita and Pier in their kitchen.

I stayed at Casa Rurale Colleccio and it was a wonderful experience. The house is rustic and welcoming, surrounded by olive trees and hills, with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. The hosts are wonderful and hospitable, making you feel right at home. I thoroughly enjoyed the walks along the trails and relaxing in the shade of the olive trees. The location is excellent for visiting Lucca, but the real treasure is the tranquility of the place. Highly recommended!
