Horgabost Campsite

Stayed in this campsite for 2 nights during the 2 weeks trip that my daughters (4 and 7 years) and I took in Scotland with Motorhome last August. The location is just unbeatable: right on one of the most stunning beaches of...Europe, including Mediterranean Sea if you are as lucky as us of getting there on a 23C sunny day. We didn't get a pitch with electricity, but there are just a few and we booked the same day in high season so can't complain. The warm showers for 1 EUR also work well, and when we were there I think they were defect as the warm water kept running indefinitely also after time expiration. Lots' of mosquitos from late afternoon and couldn't stay outside for dinner, but that was the same for most of Scotland except when we were in towns. Amazing location right on the beach. Friendly staff moved our pitch to accommodate my wife's limited mobility so we could be closer to the showers and toilets. These are definitely sandy but you're by the beach so what do you expect. Wonderful beach and even an optional sauna, which was awesome. As the few 1 star reviews show, not one for the Caravan Club set but if you're more adventurous you'll love this.

The campsite is super sweet. For tents — whether hiking tents or bike tents — there are spots right on the beach. The ground is excellent, and the view is fantastic. Richard and Lena were really helpful and gave us great tips on where to find the nearest doctor’s office. They were also very, very caring with us. Thanks again😊
