The Lane B&B

The Lane B&B is a beautiful, well-maintained B&B. We had a lovely, large, clean room with a very spacious bathroom. The weather was beautiful when we stayed, and in the evening we enjoyed a drink and a game on the terrace. The hostess went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. This B&B is definitely recommended.

Two weeks ago, we walked the Kerry Way and stayed at ten different B&B's along the way. The best experience of all ten was undoubtedly at "The Lane" in Glenbeigh. Maureen the hostess, was exceptionally friendly , caring and angaged. She spend a lot of time with us and answered all our questions and told a lot about this part of Ireland. The bedroom was spacious and impeccably clean, wich is something we very value. The breakfast was excellent and tasted delicious. The way she prepared and presented everything was simply of a higher standard. Maureen started this B&B a few years ago after her live took a new turn. We believe she made the best choice - both for herself and for the guests.

We stayed at the wonderful B&B, the Lane, on a recent trip to Ireland when we hiked the Kerry Way. The Lane was the first of several B&B's we were fortunate to stay at. Location wise it's a short and picturesque stroll from the tiny hamlet of Glenbeigh and very quiet. Maureen was an amazing host, warm, efficient, and full of relevant information about Glenbeigh and the hiking highlights in the vicinity, and recommendations for where to go for dinner, places to pick up lunch items....basically she took care of us!! Our room with in suite bathroom was spacious, very clean, and had a wonderful firm bed AND great pillows! The breakfasts were excellent....we chose from her wonderful menu the night before and it was served at exactly the time we requested....piping hot! A wonderful conversationalist, we had fun chatting with her....and she was extremely helpful with each and every question we had....We HIGHLY recommend this B&B....you won't regret it! Nancy and Joop
