Bethlen Estates Transylvania

Spent a long weekend here in October 2025. Overall, we had an amazing experience. Laid-back and relaxed atmosphere. Lucked out on the weather, sunny and clear skies. Food was fantastic, locally-sourced, prepared with care, menu changed every night, good variety. Breakfast had enough variety but you won't find every meal option you're looking for. The Countess herself, Gladys (Co-Founder/Owner) was there checking in personally with guests to make sure things were running smoothly and that we were being well looked after. There is a great level of attention to detail and care that went into renovating this estate. The staff was also very nice and welcoming, Sandor especially took great care of us while we were there. We visited Bethlen Castle next door as well as the city of Sighisoara (15min drive). There were other things to do (truffle hunting) which we didn't get around to on this trip but will definitely explore on our next one. Would highly recommend for a quiet weekend getaway or even a week-long escape/reset. Thank you Bethlen Estates team for the wonderful experience!

The property has an extraordinary marketing, but it was a diasspointing experience for me. The quality of the place and service is far away from what they want to seem and in terms of price, they are very expensive. Except for the good wine list and very nice service of Sandor and Pety, there is nothing worth there, unfortunately.

Bethlen Estates Transylvania is an amazing property set in a quaint Transylvanian village. The perfect place to find rest, to unwind, to indulge, to discover the absolutely stunning cultural heritage and natural environment of Transylvania. Great people, great food, great wine. Little more one could wish for. What a vision!
