The Duke of Cornwall Hotel

Duke of Cornwall was recommended to me. So I booked 3 nights with them. I was not disappointed wow what a beautiful building built for the Victorians. This hotel is full of history and it’s like stepping back in time. The interior was magnificent clean and well looked after. Now with the building built in 1865 it comes with its own character. The majestic stair ways and Victorian windows and the lift to the floors. The main revolving main entrance doorway. Just beautiful. The hotel has been updated the rooms to good standard and new bathrooms fitted and were clean to high standard. Shout out to House keeping you do a brilliant job well done. The staff I cannot praise enough.They were brilliant they could not do enough for you. Well done. From reception to restaurant to the bar staff. What can I say about reception staff you were all amazing especially Skye you stood out I watched how you dealt with situations with customers you did it so professional and with smile. Just leaves me to say massive Thank you for amazing stay I will be back. Keep the excellent work going you all deserve so much praise.

Really lovely hotel. Is a beautiful old building but this does also mean paper thin floors and windows. I recommend taking ear plugs. Our room was a good size, clean and tidy. All the staff are extremely friendly. Car parking is hit and miss when it’s very busy with not many spaces. Breakfast was really good too.

Absolutely spot on, I loved it. During my time I've stayed at numerous 5 star hotels and would prefer this any day, it was pure charm. Great big rooms, clean and warm, what other hotels have a trouser press in the rooms. Breakfast was superb, if you want fried eggs just ask.
